My current investigative nonfiction project follows the financial trail behind America’s post-9/11 wars — from Congress and the Pentagon to contracts, contractors, suppliers, weapons, reconstruction, veterans, debt, and the long costs that remain after the fighting ends.

What can actually be proven?
